Drink plenty of water or herbal tea to rehydrate and aid detoxification.
Avoid coffee, alcohol and smoking for the next few hours.
Avoid strenuous activity.
Try to take some time to relax and enjoy the benefits of your treatment for as long as you can.
After your treatment, you may experience mild side-effects, such as fatigue, dizziness or headache, especially if you've been under a lot of pressure and/or haven't had a treatment in a while. This is a result of tension release and detoxification and, therefore, a good thing! Take it easy, relax, and it will pass very soon.
If you have any questions or concerns before or after your treatment, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Daphne came to massage because she noticed in herself how much tension she collected and held in her body, and she wanted to learn how to help others release it. Emotional and psychological factors impact our physical wellbeing in more ways than we can begin to imagine, and that is on top of lifestyles that actually affect our bodies directly, making chronic back pain, headaches and stiffness in the neck and shoulders common complaints.
Daphne sees massage as both a physical treatment to relieve tension in the muscles and restore balance in the body, and an opportunity to take some time for ourselves, relax, and clear the mind. She is a trained professional therapist in Holistic and Deep Tissue Massage (ITEC Level 3 QCF), but she doesn't follow a routine; she brings the awareness and mindfulness she's learned from yoga into her massage practice, and likes to work with her clients to provide deep but gentle treatments that suit each individual, on each one of their visits.
